Kirk's first view of the refitted Enterprise with Michael Giacchino's Enterprising Young Men off 2009's Star Trek film as the score. You get a grasp of what a seminal moment this was for Trekdom. I made no edits to the film or the soundtrack- just lined up the opening of Enterprising Young Men to the first frame in ST:TMP after Kirk and Scotty were done talking.

  • The original soundtrack for this is glorious.

  • @Michbarkc maybe you should make an edit of these movies when in battle scenes to this score, this is a little fast paced for one of the slowest scenes in movie history (not to mention 2001 a space odyssey)

  • Nah... The new music is too heroic for my tastes. The old one was more serious... more mature... Cooler... Way more intelligent... But still with awesome bits of hope for the future. The new one is like a war chant... Like some dramatic prelude to war song from some green recruits... I don't like it, because it glorifies what the Federation seeks to avoid. Period.

  • Good job, surprising how well the new music fits with the old intro.

  • @28stads Why would you comment someone else's video just say it was stupid and pointless? Seriously?

  • The original music for this scene is truly amazing. It is so stupid that you changed it just for the heck of it. I mean, it isn't improving the scene at all.

Don't get me wrong, I like both musical scores, but seriously though.

  • @derBene Or the Titanic surfacing, ala "Raise the Titanic!".

  • Maybe it's the editing but it feels wrong to me. More like for a battleship than the Enterprise.

  • @silon2

    agreed

  • It works, suprisingly. I don't think anyone would fault you for slightly editing the video to have a better impact.
