Follow spots and smoke machines, from blush-on to thick mascaras, from head to toe everything was ready before the music starts to beat to that runway. It was a night of a celebration, a night where friends and guests unite for the purpose of celebrating GIZMO's 8th year of success. It was indeed a night of talents and inspirations. The man behind Gizmo's success, Mr. Mark Yap happily shared his thoughts of thanking people at the rear of his gratitude. He appreciated mostly the help of his production team, his friends, the models and all who participated during the fashion show.
The event started 5pm at Elizabeth Mall's Fourth Floor South Expansion Activity Center. The backstage was filled with tension as time runs by. Dancers and production numbers tightly tied their shoelaces during the event. These dancers were mizunderstoodz and c-crew both dance groups of University of San Carlos. JM Gabison and Loweeza Aguinaldo both sang that night to entertain the audience. Cebu Elite Beat Boxers Uniting (C.E.B.U.) was also there to perform that night.
The said event showcased the latest gadgets from Nokia, My Phone and Canon. The organizers incorporated TECHSTYLE: Tech from the word Technology and style from fashion styles. The event was about to showcase some of the aspiring designers collection from their sexy elegant dresses to couture and grandeur gowns. Classy and flashy, sophisticated and glamorous as I must say for these gadgets are best paired with these outfits. This is also to establish a certain aspect that technology is always part of every one of us. These technological advancements affect greatly the minds of these fashion forward individuals in creating eclectic creations.
A number of almost 30 models participated during the event wearing the collections of these prominent designers in the metro. Some of the models were handled by Mark Yap himself, Stacy Lloren of Stacy's Exlcusives and Pops Capul Models were there to support the said event. The designers were Cres Abines, Richan Abella, Ryan Dumago, Edwin Alba, Hikaru Arellano, Elyza Rose Lumayno, Erbie Alcordo and James Cañete. These models look amazing that night through the hands of their resident make-up artists Vincent Bermejo, Rj Delmar, Gretchen Sy, Hans Amigable and James Cañete.
These latest gadgets are showcased to update people about their latest trends and features. They need to update their customers about their latest gadgets to make others knowledgeable about it. From time to time, technology will innovate us and with us, the innovation of technology starts. Moreover, there were a lot of people who visited and watched the event. They applauded and screamed over the sexy and lean bodies of the muses and the princes. They were also awed to the stupendous and fascinating designs of the brilliant designers who showcased their designs that evening. The event was hosted by Ms. Nicole Ring (RCTV VJ hunt finalist) and Mariel Nebria who had thrown trivia questions to audiences and giving prizes sponsored by Nokia, Myphone , Gizmo, Globe and Canon.
This is the first ever fashion show handled by Gizmo as they celebrate their 8th year anniversary. This is the first time that three big companies like myphone, nokia and canon unite to support the said event. The event was a success and every one enjoyed that night. Thanks to the event organizers James Cañete and Mariel Nebria for that momentous soiree.
