@Sozialneutralist I can either ignore the anonymous abuse or I address it. I am choosing today to address and question it. People come to such a channel to relax away from their issues with chess. Chess like football is a game people use to add enjoyment value and connection to community with their lives. For some it might be a trivial game, but I really enjoy the game and have done since 7 years of age. If someone hates my videos they don't have to watch them or subscribe to this channel.

@Sozialneutralist Yes, but you know there are no "Dislikes" on Facebook - I think I know why now!. The potential for gutless anonymous abuse seems to be a major issue potentially. As a youtube partner with a massive contribution made to youtube in the cultural area of chess which is a game that is country and age independent - a game shared for many centuries among different countries and cultures, I think it is worth taking a stand here and now, against this anonynous abuse.

@oxiigen For many chess is an escape from life and it's issues. So having a place to relax and enjoy videos is helpful for many - and when the thumbs down is abused like yesterday's video, it does sort of leave me wondering why without comment someone would do that - rather than just unsubscribe from this channel or not watch my videos if they are indeed that bad.

Well KC, the Thumbs issue is one that lies with an immature audience. I'm sure there are 12 yr olds who come here, only see chess & commentary and think, "This isn't anything like MTV" so they stupidly thumbs down, not because you are bad at making videos (which you are great) but rather because the 12 yr old doesn't like to think in thus chess is boring to them.

I think you are doing a great job with the video KC. Keep it up. I've subbed you.

Kingc, I think by standing up to the dislikers and calling them abusers just acknowledges their evil masterplan. Simply ignore them and it will have no effect what so ever. Besides, the "like" system technically doesn't matter at all.
