@Damon242 I agree, and Weaver expresses a scientist's point of view exceedingly well. No matter how hard to you try to remain objective...you would not be studying something if you did not have a personal interest therein. That is why peer reviews are so difficult...to have your work that you have slavishly dedicated your life to be dissected by other scientists may seem cruel, but it is the only way science can remain objective - no matter how much it hurts.

Whats the soundtrack that plays in this scene?!! Im been trying to find it for ages =(

Wow, that was so fantastic. The most amazing scene in the entire film is this one... the whole thing is so beautiful.

Btw, as great as the deleted scenes were, Cameron was going for specific emotional reactions from his audiences with that theatrical cut. And, as far as I'm concerned, Cameron succeeded gloriously.
But, all of the cut scenes prove how great the acting and storytelling is in Avatar.

Avatar didn't lose the Oscar due to its supposed "flaws" in storytelling. It lost for political reasons. The Academy wanted to give it to a woman. And they normal hate sci-fi films anyway. But, Avatar was almost a sure thing upon its reason.
At the premiere, Danny DeVito actually said, "Give him the Oscar now."

@HowlingWolf518 especially the scenes that the navi attacked the human. so the human got a raeson to bow of the hometree.

Did anybody else watch the full Collector's Edition & deleted scenes, and feel somewhat... cheated?
Don't get me wrong - I like the movie, love Pandora. But this kind of stuff begs the question: why is it NOT in the final?! James Cameron had a dozen chances to create a great storyline, and he skipped them all.
I don't care what it'd do to the length - Return of the King ran for THREE friggin' hours, IT rocked. They should've done the same... maybe then Avatar wouldn't have lost the Oscar.

@serpentphoenix I questioned myself on why I actually wrote that. Laughed when I heard her version of my sentence in the video xD (google FANUC if you haven't heard of it) ;)

...wtf?!

yeah.
Weaver must get really angry with Cameron. In both Aliens and Avatar, for the theatrical run he cuts out the scenes involving the most character development and her best acting.
Her subplot in the Avatar film should have stayed in.
Cameron unfortunately sacrificed character development for plot, rather than balance it. It's unfortunate, because he is a lot better at it than this shows. He can make a balanced, and well-respected film
