@haitianjew Another way of saying "unsacred" would be "secular" ahah
-
@dwsolo : That's funny, I was about 50 when it was written... ;)
ps/ What's all the "up and down" about? I don't get it. ::grin::

@rockerhead247 This particular recording was made when I was about 50

@dwsolo Haha, well, out of curiousity, how old were you when you sang it, because I do agree with what you're saying, the main problem was that the basses didn't come in on the repeat.
-
@rockerhead247 I have indeed sung it in a choir many times. It's only difficult if other choir members aren't concentrating LOL
-
@zoomeber Try singing it in a choir, it's so hard.

this is stupid in a funny way... i dont like the way the words get rerpeated over and over again.. but i guess... thats the way the song goes

This was very nice to listen to! I agree with the others that you have great talent!

Did anyone know that this video is about sex? Most unsacred Renaissance music was. Phyllis was a sheppard and the man who found her was kissing her. After the kissing they were going up and down, up and dwn, up and down. That is actually meant to mean that they were having sex. During the Renaissance, the unsacred musioc contained hidden sexual inuendos quite often. They were subtle enough so that the church would not notice them. Let me know what you guys think :)
