It was pretty cool, even without the bells.

  • I just wanted to let you know that Concord is pronounced Con-curd not Con-cord. I am from MA so...

  • @carlonbass She wasn't asked about Revere's 'midnight ride' or his 'mission'. She was asked, "what did you learn today that you'll take with you?" I guess you think she should have stood straight and recited Longfellow's inaccurate poem.

The press had been following her everywhere, I'd like to see a video of what the guides told her on the tour since Prof Brendan McConville of Boston U says she was, "essentially right (but still stupid)." On Fox, she never said it was part of his 'mission'.

  • by the way, yer a cutie, jackson :)

  • @Strankon despite your support of her, her account of paul revere is seriously distorted. one obscure fact, which was presented in a completely false fashion doesn't get her points. this is a possible prez/vp we're talking about. you should have the courage to condemn her for this and all the other numerous examples of her ignorance, regardless of your political affiliation. i look forward to your response.

  • @Strankon the point - sure, she got one fact right, but she twisted everything else. factually, she got everything else wrong and her implication that warning the british was part of his mission doesn't make sense in addition to being factually wrong. if you were paul revere, why would you take time out to even get close to the british to warn them of anything when lives depended on u warning americans. i'm sure he thought if he was captured he'd be killed which would negate his purpose.

  • @Strankon she says he fired shots and rung bells while he was riding his horse through town to warn the british. this is wrong. it's true, he "warned" them during his capture by them. this isn't stressed in the recounting of this event. it was a sidenote. she was asked about his midnight ride and his mission, and she implied it was to warn the british, and then on fox news afterward stuck to her story and further claimed that warning the british was part of his mission. it never was.

  • For some reason, the image of Dawes falling off his horse just cracked me up. XD

I love learning history from you, Jackson!
