This is called a log roll, and you need hair at least a waist length.
There's not talking, so don't worry when you don't hear any! It's just for visual aid.
If you find it easier, switch the direction you twist and wrap... some people find it works better that way.

  • wow thanks so much it worked for me the first time, while it usually takes me a few tries to get used to a style...very nice, I love the idea of the hairstick/scrunchie.

  • Thank you and I appreciate the feedback on the scrunchie method.

  • Hi, I don't have your hair length, but this style inspired me to a similar style on my mid-back length hair, so thank you!

  • Wonderful! Thank you for letting me know.

  • Very good tutorial. Very beautiful! Is it possible to make a log roll with medium length hair?

  • I don't think so. I believe the shortest it can be done with is waist length.

  • you are very talented. keep up the good work.

  • that's fantastic! Great videos, bless you and your hair! I also have long hair (ends just before my butt lol) and get so fed up sometimes being clueless as to what to do with it, on a daily basis as well as on special ocassions. I usually just have it braided or open. You've helped, thanks a bunch!

By the way, do you do any special treatment to maintain your hair, like say... oil it once a month? I do, almond or coconut oil overnight and wash it the next day, it does wonders!

  • a french twist is similar for those with shorter hair, i have very thick hair so looks almost the same on me (i'm shoulder to armpit length atm)

  • this is easy and pretty; exactly what I was looking for! Thanks

  • Wow this is amazing and beautiful!

  • love it! Ive never seen that trick with the pencil and the bobble, do i lead a sheltered life?

  • Lovely vid. As my hair grows longer I am looking more and more for new and quick ways to put up my hair. Your vids are clear and concise, and have added a couple additional styles to my repertoire. Thank you!

  • Thank you so much! I gotta try this =)
