when has the United States ever had a balanced budget in the era after WWII, why did Reagan run up deficits, even Clinton's "surplus" was only a projection, W did it, there is a reason, it is in our best interest and the world's best interest, the size and effectivness of our military keeps buisness markets open, in countries who are transistioning to capatilism, increases opportunity there and opens up a new investment base here Repub, Dem there is not going to be a balanced budget

you all don't get your hopes up, the recession has a lot to do with it as well as the fight over healthcare, in sept. 1981 Reagan's approval rating was 71% by feb. 1982 it was down to 48%, of course it went back up, H.W's was like 70-80%, W's was like 50-60%(b4 911), and Clinton's was like 30-40%, its actually pretty admirable that his approval rating is still above 50% w/ the recession and "obamacare" being messy, During clinton's health push it was like 35%, just saying

People are just realizing how liberal Obama's policies are and especially on healthy care and environmental issues, they don't like his positions. People were so anxious to get Bush out of office they failed to see that Obama never balanced a budget in his life.
