Nice playing and nice ideas. I like your phrasing, melodies and playing behind the beat. A couple of suggestions: (1) it is nice to really jump aggressively into the improv in that measure of rest at the end of a completely stated melody, before going into the next chorus (of improv), unless you are going for a more transcendant or soulful approach, and (2) check out Coleman Hawkins, Lester Young, Chu Berry and Illinois Jacquet: they are an older style but really excellent.
