I got my first cell phone last year, I was 24. What a world of nonsense we live in.

you can see only hip hoppies doing this... no-one else is playing his music out loud on mobiles except them... it's really funny to see those kids, hangin' at the corner with their rapmusic playin' out loud and making those tough faces and gestures...
and that girl is really paranoid... a sheep scared and brainwashed by a television... sad

its respectful to not blast your music to other people and its not the same as people talking although i do understand some people talking can be very obnoxious and loud but this just showed selfishness more than anything else really i mean wait til you get where your going to listen to your music dont force everyone else to hear it

When I was in London, between '04-'06, there was something called "Happy Slapping" or Fun slapping or such. Young people, usually teenagers, would slap someone for fun. They usually go in group of 3-5 or more and would approach defenseless people, who would go alone, old, women etc. It was bad, many suffered pain and trauma. Londoners have weird crime.

They cant afford headphones, I can understand.

Yeah, I don't ask people to stop talking on their cell phones when I'm in their vicinity. because I'm a nice guy. Oh, and I blare my music on the trolley because I'm a passive aggressive prick. Just ask me nicely to turn down my music, i might not stab you;)

I guess maybe because I live in America, this video seemed to be on the side of pointless.
Listening to music goes with freedom of speech, and I'm for freedom of speech. But as a general rule I do think it'd be more polite to wear headphones. It seemed to me the guys with the phones were making excuses to be obnoxious, especially when explained it in a way as retaliation for having to listen to phone conversations. Part of their "image" is to be obnoxious, on purpose.

do none of them own headphones? Wouldn't the music sound like shit on speakerphone anyway?
-
funny story actually, yeah i was in the ghetto. that's the difference between us.

I don't know in my opinion the odds of that not being staged or of them having no knowledge of each other is pretty slim
its really rude to blast music on the bus or in public areas in general. it's not like they can't buy headphones or that they don't know that their loud music is irritating. Pretty much choosing to be buttholes. Everyone likes music, not everyone plays their music loud.
