  • @meatpie29 Nonsense. I like Mozart but i don't like every piece of music he wrote. I love Debussy's impressionistic music but I don't like everything he wrote. I like Bach but I don't like everything he wrote.. Don't be so closed minded.

  • no music modern or past is a match for mozart

  • Are the Cadenzas from Joseph Joachim ?

  • That chick can buzz a pretty mean saw. Team her up with Charlie Daniels and they'll kick the Devil in the shorts every time.

  • Nothing touches the soul like the music of Mozart.

  • This usually impresses my friends who never listen to classical music.

  • me gusta mozart ya que tiene musica muy instrumental

  • Musical....sound is not perfect, but she's beatiful phrases!!!! :-)

  • @ModellMeister Further although I don't care much for Kennedy's or Jansen's version of the four seasons I find their playing of Bach appealing. e.g. search youtube for Jansen' playing Bach Sonata 1 for unaccompanied violin. I love it you might hate it.

  • @ModellMeister Then your argument would have to apply to Kennedy's 4 seasons as his interpretation doesn't appeal to me at all.,yet it has critical acclaim. However I don't argue that his interpretation is wrong and that he should avoid playing Vivaldi, I can only state that Kennedy's and Jansen interpretations don't appeal to me. In my opinion their playing is too refined when they play this piece and lacks rustic charm. yet other people love their versions. It comes down to subjectivity.

  • @DrMontague If you dont like Jensen's 4 seasons then you are agreeing with me, Vivaldi style is closer to mozart than Brahms or Tchaikovsky style, and if shes bad at playing the earlier style then chances are her mozart isnt very accurate. Now you're probably going to say no one knows how Vivaldi played, and thats not necessarily true. Yes, it is simpler to state it doesnt appeal to me. Im just explaining WHY it doesnt.

  • @ModellMeister Would it not be simpler to simply state that this version doesn't appeal to you? Again I have heard this concerto played by several orchestras but they don't appeal to me. In short you have come across a performance of Mozart that appealed to you and you have used that as a frame of reference as to how Mozart should be played. I've heard Jensen and Kennedy play the 4 seasons and neither appeal to me. Yet other people think they are brilliant performances.
