In the Spanish region of Aragon the parliament is due to approve a law that would allow one of the biggest leisure, gambling and entertainment complex in Europe to go ahead.
The plans by a company called International Leisure Development to build Spain's answer to Las Vegas in countryside near Ontinena are strongly supported by the locals. This project named Gran Scala proposes building casinos, hotels, theme parks and a racecourse on a 2700 hectares site in the desert of Los Monegros.
