Song- Garden of Delight [Wayne Hussey Vocals]
Artist- The Sisters of Mercy

This is the song "Garden of Delight" performed by The Sisters with Hussey on vocals, I don't believe this is Husseys' version from The Mission, but i'm not 100% sure, seeing as to how I have not heard the studio version of it yet. =/

  • Please bring back the 80ies and put even more goths in it.

  • Hey! Both band were great! Love the total different sound from each the Mission and the Sisters! But I have to say the Mission were the way better of the two live!! Especially back in the Simon days, with Craig and Adam. Blu Nun Baby!!!

  • Wayne Hussey Vocals is excellent.

  • @stapaxx is the garden of delight`s the mission uk song DEMO

  • garden of delight`s 1985 Sistershood band song

garden of delight`s 1986 the mission uk band song (the first chapter LP)

  • This sounds like the demo version that was recorded by Wayne and Craig after Hussey had spent a month in Hamburg getting musical ideas together with Andrew Eldritch. Wayne wrote the Lyrics and Music , Eldritch did sing on a later version of this , but I'm convinced that this is The Sisters of Mercy as that definatley sounds like Doktor Avalance on drums ...... just sounds like a drum machine !!

  • Eldritch's voice is too low-pitched for my taste. Hussey's sounds more natural, in my opinion.

  • @TopherFire i totally agree!

  • i Saw the S.O.M when i 19 in 1985 and it was First*LAst & ALways with Wayne Hussey, Graig Adams, Andrew Eldritch & Dr. Avalanche with the infamous fog and green light. It was the psychedelic underground. Wished Gary Marx would have played but joined Ghost Dance. All four made the haunting sound rock the ages. FYI, Andrew would never claimed himself & the music, goth!! - Sisters 4 ever

  • I love the Sisters, but I also love the Mission. I love all versions of this song, because it's an awesome song. Both bands are awesome. They are also very different, Andrew's mob were darker and more trancey, Wayne and co. were slightly more of a 'rock' style. Love the bands for what they are.

I know being 19 I wasn't 'there at the time' and blimey, I wish I was so badly, but there's no need to argue.

Long live Goth...or whichever you choose to call it. :D

    Peace out people
