  • @minnlr7 thanks for watching and your comment :) I will keep your words in mind the next time I perform a praise dance :)

  • Thanks @ DANCEjunkie02

  • I dont feel as if the song fits the occasion. When you praise dance, you take into consideration the tone of the event as well as the venue and audience. For someone who is celebrating their 80th birthday, the sleeveless dress and straps showing are inappropraite. Praise dancers are modest in their apparel. You are a great dancer and are very structured, but the song is very solemn and would be perfect for an Easter or Good Friday Service. Not a birthday party.God Bless and keep dancing for him

  • @msd2012 Great point! That's something I'll keep in mind when I hit the stage again :)

  • Hello!! I am a Liturgical dancer and teacher. Just a word of advice next time you feel nerves just think about you and God in His throne room alone. Just YOU and God, people don't matter. Because everyone will have to answer to God for themselves for their worship.

  • your technique is so GOOD!! keep up the good work

  • I am a 50yrs, Instructor Counselor in the prison system. I see a great deal of young people destroying their lives. I was a Ballet and modern Dancer in college and I’ve always admired the African Dancers, as the sister appears to resemble. I watched the performance and saw a type of creative African dance. There was a great deal of this in the 60s; I miss it dearly.

  • It may or may not have been a praise dance, but one thing that’s for sure. God has given this little sister a gift of expression through Dance and she seems to be using it to his glory. Although I do not know this sister, I am very proud of her; she has decided not to through her gift away. May God Bless You Always

  • She certainly had the attention of her audience which also is an indicator that it was the right material for that time. I love your attitude when you responded to the critique. You were not easily offended, and was willing to listen, which speaks a lot about your character. Even with the suggestions given, you ALWAYS LET GOD LEAD YOU. You seek Him about the music, the choreography(er), and even the attire. When He leads you, you will NEVER go wrong. Be blessed and continue to dance for Him!

  • You did an EXCELLENT EXCELLENT job!!! As you continued to dance, I literally felt when you began to identify with the song. It was anointed, truly skilled, and yes, you yielded to let the Spirit move within you as it saw fit. I'm gonna have to disagree with some of the older posts, the song was fitting because the dance was done for I believe "Paw Paw's" 80th Birthday celebration. I'm almost certain that "Paw Paw" could identify with this song, which is why it might have been chosen. (cont'd)

  • Well actually i was going to say exactly what people posted above... About the song and the occasion and moves and so on. Its good to have people notice what we think we shoudl improve on. I get them myself so Im just letting you that you did a good job and keep improving.
