  • One thing to notice with Harley's 'version' of the fox trot is he tends to be on the trotty side as you can see by the 'bounce' or 'spring' in his gait. Smoother foxtrot gaits are less 'trotty' and have a longer 'pause' in the set down of the rear diagonal.

  • Lol. I have a quarter horse. my husband wanted to ride with me so we went looking for him a horse and ended up with a 10 yr fox trotter. I have never been on one or anything. I really wanted to know what he was doing the times that i was on him now I know. I also after watching some other videos sure he was cantering. Just not like my quarter horse. Its amazing how different it is.

  • Very helpful video to show foxtrot - thanks!
