唉,还是香港啊,日本NHK啊都有心来拍摄中国现状,我们的“人
民政府”有没有投眼光在人民身上?? -
if they'd stayed in their own country they would be alive, hope this keeps more from coming .
if we went to china illegally we would be put in jail.
sick of immigrants coming here ,taking jobs, they should all be stopped from coming here.

of course snakeheads should be punished, but illegal immigration also has victims, though the damage is not as obvious as violent crimes. if 10 m mexicans cross illegally into the US, they depress american wages, and cause congestions in american transport systems, healthcare systems, etc. there is a toll on the overall society.
developed countries do need immigrants, but this should be addressed by proper programs, like what australia and canada do.

my original point is not to blame the 蛇頭. I think you are off the topic here. It's another big topic if you want to discuss immigration laws. The crimes you mentioned involved victims. Illegal immigration is victimless, similar prostituion. Immigration supports economic growth in countries with low birth rates. To answer your question, no I don't support illegal immigration.

a desire to have a better life or get richer is not greed, but to achieve a better life via illegal means is definitely not permissible. According to your logic, these people could rob, kill, or do whatever it takes, in order to get a better life? I guess you live in the US, do you agree all Mexcians should be allowed to cross the border and work here in the states, in order to help them get a better life?

farmers in fujian are among the relatively well-off in china. they are not poor in china, but they just wanna get richer. greed, this is precisely what drives these ppl, like what drives everybody.

these are just a few of unfortunate destinies. I live in new york and there are many Chinese illegal immigrants successfully make a living and help their families in China. Don't blame the 蛇頭. No one forces them to take the risks.
a desire to have a better life or get richer is not greed. In fact, that can be a good motivation. Greed is more of a desire beyond reason. I don't think working illegally in a developed country for more money is beyond reason.
