i figured out why it is crackling , if i was sitting in a bedroom with a chick and a bed , i will be crackling too !! FYI

mine does not crackle, U may need one or more of the caps re doing, or U may have a scatche pot, my guess it is a pot, and if I had to take a wilde guess I would say it was the master, due to your vid. I have the bassman 100, and it is the best sounding amp I have had, and I have had them all, vox orange marshal, the bassman just has it like, it is great for gigs as well, mine is very chimey when I av the bright switch on and treble on 10, love the bassman amps more than my wife he he

take it to a tech - thats what they are there for; it will need biased as well unless you use the same brand of tubes again

spray out your tube sockets. and put in a new set of pre amp tubes if that doesn't fix it. then if it still does it, replace the big tubes the power tubes. thats all it is. new set of tubes will cost you about 100.00 but,that will fix it . i think it's the small tubes. i work on them all the time
