On February 27th 2009, a 2 kilometer walk called the Blue Walk took off to raise public awareness on the cause. The walk was flagged off by Mr. Sudarsan Patnaik and was joined by various elites. The event had a paragliding show and a song performed by the students of Sri Prakash Synergy School. The Blue Oath was taken before the Blue Walk took off.
