http://www.premierguitar.com PG's Acoustic Editor Gayla Drake Paul walks us through her latest review of the ZT Amplifiers Lunchbox Acoustic, which is featured in the July 2010 issue.

The Lunchbox Acoustic is ZT's first two-channel amp that features a top quality, dedicated microphone channel and separate instrument channel each sport the individual controls. It's loaded supported by 200W of clean amplifier power, anti-feedback circuitry, a pro-grade reverb and a highly flexible signal I/O.

The amp's controls are Gain, Bass Treble, and Reverb for each channel, a Master Volume, and a three-position anti-feedback control. It houses a 6.5" speaker and weighs about 12 pounds.

  • Very nice playing Gayla and good review as well....

  • l have a Fishman Loudbox, how does this amp compare to that. The loudbox weighs 2 million pounds.

  • beautiful playing Gayla - That little amp is amazing!

  • great review. THX

  • I bought mine today. It does more than amplify. The technology is "voiced" somehow to coax very natural sound even from mediocre pickups. Played it with an old Ovation, and used just the piezo in my Gibson, both of which normally sound "plastic-y". Over the lunchbox, you get a nice, woody, warm, natural feeling sound. Extension cab makes it gig-worthy! Replaced that ugly plastic grip with a Fender-type leather handle. Gorgeous.

  • Gayla - great playing, and an excellent showcase for the product.

  • @justjayok LAG is a French company.

  • What kinda guitar is that?!?! Me like.

  • Love the way you talk and play...... Gosh.... you do well...

  • Thanks. Feedback is a big factor, and was considering PA systems like Fishman and Bose. Too big. The size is very special and intimate, like a friend. Can you give some idea of the range of positioning at around 5 out of 10 on volume using sensitive mics? How does the phase-feedback adjustment work. Also, as a mono vocal guitar amp is the angle range sufficient to saturate the room?
