Rep. Barney Frank talks to Rachel Maddow about the major changes Obama introduced to the regulations governing credit cards recently proposed in Congress. Executives from Bank of America Corp, American Express Co, Citigroup Inc, Wells Fargo & Co, JPMorgan Chase & Co, Capital One Financial Corp, Visa Inc and MasterCard Inc were among 14 credit card companies that met Obama early Thursday afternoon at the White House.

  • @elmersbrother Who do you think the Govt. is supposed to represent and protect?! The reason why these actions against Credit Card Companies abuses are happening is due to the request of the general public in outrage to these predatory practices.

    Usery laws were one place where I was very conservative. Maximum interest rates have been in place for thousands of years. Hammurabi had them in Sumeria!!

    Think about this-During the last 8 years profits in American loan agencies have gone through the roof. It culminated at 41% of the yearly profits--From Loans. It used to be less than 10-12%!!

    It's nothing but parasite speculators and pirates borrowing to loan again and again, faster and faster!
