Standing next to Iowa House Democratic Leader Kevin McCarthy, Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal today urged Iowans who care about local schools to contact their state senators. Gronstal is fighting to give local schools $60 million additional dollars next year, a two percent increase. Governor Branstad and the Republicans controlling the Iowa House say no. Gronstal says every vote in the Senate is vital if local schools will receive any additional help next year. For more information, visit www.senate.iowa.gov/democrats.
