if we were to liquefy the co2 that we were take out of the atmosphere that we put into the atmosphere ever day and liquefy it and put it into the largest supertankers ... we would fill 16 super tankers every day ... but we just cannot find enough under ground storage for that much co2 ... so instead, we would need to convert the co2 into pure solid carbon and o2 ... and that will take lots and lots of energy .. it would be easier to trade your suv for a prius instead

gasoline prices are at new highs and the question is why and how much more ... well the arabs don't want to die either ... they know the only way to reduce the rushie neocon thirst for gasoline is to raise the price and to continue to raise the price until the neocons think about how much it costs to refill 50 gallons into their suvs ... but there are sooo many wealthy neocons so the price will go up much, much more ... it is a difficult way to control GW but somebody's got to do it
agnes, that is the stupidest analysis I have ever seen regarding gas prices. The government really doesn't care of gas prices rise. They make three times in taxes what oil companies make in profit. They are rising because the market will bear it and oil companies must buy oil (at a hundred a barrel) to make product from, and they are under ten percent in profit, so gas prices rise to buy more oil.

Gas prices are at levels commiserate with the rate of inflation. Oil company profits are running a respectable 9%, which is not an outrageous profit margin, just ask any businessman. Controlling global warming is impossible. We can't control the sun. Last year the U.S. reduced carbon emissions in greater quantities than the EU, whose emissions actually went up. So much for the kyoto protocol. The free market can make reducing greenhouse gases viable ina way that wont bankrupt our country.
