Here's my first tutorial on anime studio. This is an attempt to show anyone interested on how I rig a face using bones and binding vector points to those bones. I'm still learning so this may not be the most efficient way to do this but it's the way I do it. A couple of things that are really REALLY important when doing this. 1. make sure that when you create a bone layer set it to region binding!! It won't work if flexible binding is on! 2. Parenting bones is really important. Be aware of when I select and deselect what bones I'm parenting to. The nose bone and what I call the eye parts bones (under the eye on the cheek) are parented to the head pivot bone. All of the individual eye bones (i.e. eyelids, eye color and eyebrows) are parented to the eye parts below them.
Excellent tutorial, congratulations best explained

Very good, and also very helpful. Thank you for the tutorial! I will use it next time I get on Anime Studio. By the way, nice drawing on Olivia. I fail at drawing :P

one more quick tip - if you parent one pupil to the other they will move together - you can still move the child pupil independantly - but saves a bit of hassle when animating normal eye movements :)

Nice tut! Nice clean construction :)
Couple of tips:
1) you shouldn't have to bind and rebind the same points to parent then children bones - yes, it's a good way of making sure all points are bound, but not necessary if you're careful :)
2) if you add a couple of bones either side of the neck, unparented, and with a region of influence, the back hair won't 'rotate' un-naturally, the sides of the hair will stay still at the shoulders
3) pressing enter de-selects everything ;)

well the only flaw is the absence of sound. some people understand by listening, but the majority who learn by reading will certainly benefit in this instance :) nice work!
