I would say 'being single is awesome, other peoples bullshit just doesn't involve you anymore. Try to find a way of life that you could maintain quite happily without feeling the intense desire to find a 'soul mate'. Then someone will just turn up when you least expect it.

My most recent dumping happened actually over email. I had reconnected with her almost 20 years after college. We had spent a good chunk of time together over the summer and she decided that I wouldn't be good for her in the long run. She was probably correct in that assumption. Hold on to that positive attitude that you have. You are young enough. I don't see why your awesomeness can't find an equally awesome partner. Hang in there.

I got dumped, I was upset, but the best advice is to move on, keep your head held high, and remember, it's their loss, not yours :)

45 years ago, I was dumped. I waded through about 40 quarts of Jack Daniels before I stopped being so stupid. I later realized that if everything hadn't occurred exactly as it did, I would never have met my lovely future wife - best thing that ever happened to me. OH, so yeah...if dumped, I recommend distracting yourself with reading, movies, exercise, and listening to a LOT of OWL CITY!! Yeah, it really does help and his music is AWESOME!
