Some of this footage was originally supposed to be part of our first short movie, the Aleph & the Omega, but was never used cause we went for an alternative "shocking" ending and we wanted to keep on with the black and white format.
I reworked on that footage recently, took away some stuff and added some other. The video was shot during my stay in Iran in January 2007. It features mainly places in Isfahan and in and around Tehran and some of it was shot during that special time of the year that marks the matyrdom of imam Hussein for shiite muslims.
In the next years, we're planning to work on a sequel to the Aleph & the Omega that would depict the whereabouts of today's muslim world...

  • I would love to visit IRAN so much... (this is one of my wish, with Pakistan and India). Thanks for this great video. How did you record the city life without being seen? The Iranian Far West video is great too... :)

  • @xIssimax > my friend that you see on the video is iranian so he helped me in getting to places where i could get these images. In Tehran, we had the family's bodyguard with us most of time. Anyway, i never felt threatened or anything... Iran is definitely a must-see and i'm looking forward to going back there! Thanks for your positive review

  • "Si je t'aime, prend garde a toi" Thats ironic

  • ha ha ha... precisely, you got the point here my friend

  • @omnicd You are welcome, thanks for sharing so many amazing places you have seen with us. And I wish you a nice trip back to Iran soon!

  • you took the words out of my mouth...

Sad, what's happening in Iran over the last few days. Those people really deserve a more democratic government, for more freedom and a better life

  • well, though the iranian religious regime is a total disaster on every possible level, people there manage to stay nice, welcoming and open-minded. So i'll have to disagree with your comment!
