@BRRUUUAAHHable There may come a day when religion is not portrayed on movies like here in America where religion is gone- India it still holds a part of daily life, I realize the form may be off but it still reminds us of God. I came to Hinduism partly through Bollywood-- I did my own study and found christianity tought untruths about Hinduism( I grew up Catholic) I am Hindu now. @mavisloveshim Om Namah Shivaya has very simple meaning - it means that I to the Shiva element of the supreme Brahman. In Advaitya Vedanta - Brahman is the one supreme, universal Spirit that is the origin and support of the phenomenal universe. This is why the Upanishads say "sarvam khalavidam brahma" to mean "All this is indeed Brahman".

@BRRUUUAAHHable Be a little broad minded, there is nothing wrong with the way the mantra is presented. Also, it's also her religious song. Om Namah Shivaya unless chanted in veda has no intonation, so unless mispronounced can be chanted/sung in any way.
