too fast, now it isnt beautiful

Too fast! Remember JSB was playing tracker organs. It's really tough to go speeding with lots of stops drawn!

It is too fast. Listen to people like Martin Mans and the student from Switzerland in that they have a better handle on the tempo. Much more enjoyable at the slower pace then you will enjoy the beuaty of the work as I am sure Bach intended.

sorry, the whole thing was blurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Don't worry, tribuletto. Bach had no metronome to tell us how fast to play and I'm pretty sure that your critics didn't obtain JSB on their cellphones to ask him.
If the microphone had been closer to the organ, your articulations could have been better appreciated.

can somebody give me the transcription for piano of this prelude???? i need it!!!! :(

Yes -- too fast. I played these (the littles) when I was 14-15 years and just starting the organ.

I still thought it was a LITTLE too fast. To you the tempo may seem natural but to other listeners they can't take in the notes very well (especially if they're first time listeners). My main complaint isn't the speed though. The organ or the acoustic you're using just makes everything blurry.

I think it is a concerto like movement. It does not matter who the composer is. Better to find the character of the piece. If you watch my recordings of E minor or G minor preludes you will find a slower tempo, Anyway somebody commented the latter as a very slow...
