So , I have type one diabetes .
I was diagnosed November 19th , 2003 at 2:43 pm .
I have been on an insulin pump since 2006 .
I absolutely love it .
It is a great thing . My blood sugars are almost always in range .
I can eat freely and take insulin with the click of a few buttons .
I love it .

@DesireeandDiabetes  I am no longer on the pump , but when I was that site worked very well. A lot of my friends were on the silhouette and it got infected often, and wasn't very good. The quickset did me well.

you cant put infusion set in your chest

@d103cc You actually can. I did it for years, and it works quite well. I went to a camp for Diabetes for 7 years, and a lot of the boys did it , and a few of the girls, including myself. I am now back on injections, and still take my shots in my pectorals every once and a while.

just wondering, why do you have to "rewind" the pump? what does that do?

@jjademarissaa You rewind the pump so that a full reservoir will fit, and it can push the basal and bolus the 300 units all over again.

I do . It lowers the chances of it getting snagged and pulled out .
