El Ebro es el río más caudaloso de España, recorre el valle de su nombre en dirección al Mar Mediterráneo con una longitud total de 910 km y 83.093 km2 de cuenca.
Nace en Fontibre (del latín Fontes Iberis, Fuentes del Ebro, en griego Έβρος) cerca de Reinosa, en la Comunidad Autónoma de Cantabria, discurriendo por Miranda de Ebro, Haro, Logroño, Calahorra, Alfaro, Tudela, Alagón, Zaragoza, Caspe, Mequinenza, Riba-Roja d'Ebro, Tortosa, Amposta, San Jaume d'Enveja y Deltebre.
