I certainly think May-December relationships can work even if they are rare. I'm 33. My longest relationships have been with women who are 2 or 3 years older than me, which is slightly different from the norm. Usually, the women is 1-3 years younger than the man. I've dated a couple of women 8 and 10 years younger than me, but nothing ever came of it. In the church where I grew up, there was a couple where the man was 20 years younger than his wife. They were married for life.

is a 20 year old male and a 24 year old female a big age difference?

When you're 21-25, you're not even May yet. You're like February. lol...
Of course it won't work. You need to have acquired a certain amount of life acumen and gotten certain things out of your system (excess clubbing, mindless flirtation, random hooking up, etc) before you can have a serious relationship with a more mature person.
The older person can make allowances for the gaps in your life experience and even enjoy seeing you grow, but you've got to be at least this high to ride. lol

My BF is 71 and I'm 39. We've been together for nearly a year and are more in love than ever. I wouldn't trade a single day with him for a lifetime with the bozos my own age that I dated. I've always dated men who were 10+ years older than me, and then married a ding dong who was only 3 years older. Older men are better. My BF is the smartest, funniest, most charming person I've ever known.
