Sacramento county already 76 million in the hole after only 7 weeks. they just cut 187 million Aug 1st.
70 jack-in-boxes closed down for 3 days. 10 TGIF's closed down and may not be open again.

This time, the california depression will last years upon years as the government was too late to the game in cutting spending and then raised taxes instead of sacrificing and being austere. The sales tax hike and income tax hike if left in place will drain most of the stored wealth and savings of the middle class... monetary inflation being created right now by Ben Bernanke and friends will skim the rest of our capital and productive capacity! We will soon become a third world nation!

your statement is dead on, CA government going about this the wrong way again. Lots of business and people leaving CA because of the things that they are doing. We have the highest taxes in the state plus the highest fees in the state, which are getting higher as I write this blog.

I looked at the link for my county. Instead of cutting off illegals they would rather fire employees and take away aid from sick elderly people. I swear california deserves to implode.

I saw this coming a long time ago... Funny thing, I moved to Simi Valley in 2005 from Northern Virginia. The economy was staring to turn towards recession in VA about the summer of 2005... It took CALIFORNIA about one year later to turn. Fortunately, housing in VA didn't run up as far and fast as California but it did take 11 months to find a buyer for our house. At the time of our move, real estate agents, Mortgage brokers and family and friends told us to buy, buy, buy... GLAD WE DIDN'T!
