@ElektroNJ That's actually the most common pairing, because a lot of country music has the right beat for east coast swing, which is rare.

@Sigurd82: This is not the "ballroom" East Coast Swing I know. It looks like some kind of western dancing showcase exhibition. You can do East or West Coast Swing with country music, it's done all the time, I do it. Is this a "World" competion????? If so, I hope these two are not part of the competition, the level of dancing is not the best to say the least.

I am convinced that ballroom dance's interpretation of "swing" is absolutely the furthest thing from true swinging dance and swinging music that one could possibly be.

Why not. East Coast Swing is about a swing as country music. Seems like a perfect marriage of contrived poo.
