Pokemon Platinum Gym Leader # 4: Maylene, the Fighting Finalist

My showdown with the young and naive Fighting Gym Leader of Veilstone. Th e battle went pretty well I think, I wish I could have showed her pokes off more, but they would have killed me.

Machoke Lv. 29
-Karate Chop
-Rock Tomb

-Focus Energy

Lucario Lv. 32
-Drain Punch
-Metal Claw
-Bone Rush
-Force Palm

Stretegy:
Meditite: Nothing special really. Fake Out to annoy the first turn if it wants, but it won't kill you. Drain Punch should be avoided. (Ghosts = Awesomeness)

Machoke: Nothing TOO serious, just don't give it time to Focus Energy then slow you down with Rock Tomb and get a Super=STAB-Critical Hit-Karate-Chop.....

Lucario: A bit difficult, has something to take down anything. Force Palm and Drain Punch are pretty darn powerful so have something that can take Fighting hits well. Bone Rush can be a nasty surprise, so remember that it's a Ground-type move. A good Fire/Ground/Flying/Psychic should take him down pretty quickly.

Ali's Challenge to Viewers: Defeat Maylene with NO Flying Types AND all pokemon level 30 or less with a 4-Pokemon maximum. Think you can do it? I doubt it.....show me. (vid please :) )

I'm sorry I didn't show that, it's really not too difficult. I don't know if I tell you right off the top of my head so I'd say just search for it on youtube, I'm sure someone has posted a video showing how to get to Maylene.
