I watched the Pacific and I decided to share a behind story of the Battle of Peleliu.
the population before the western colonization was about 60,000 instead of 600,000. I uploaded the fixed version as well.

  • You're still living in the empire of Japan. All the people in Japanese colonies had no choice but to learn japanese even though they had their own languages and alphabets. the main reason why Japanese taught japanese to their colony people is easily using people as labors and soldiers for them. and Japanese paved roads and built communication networks to control their colonies more efficiently. the assailant should be sorry for their historic faults like Germany.

  • @jsrotta thanks. these are facts, arent they? unfortunately, the world is not yet to do things for charity. but i do believe japan was by far, more benign to foreign countries than other millitary equiped countries at that time. dont you think so?

  • Love Palao

    Thunk you Palao

    from Japan

タクシーに乗れば「Are you Kamimaze?」

  • Thanks for sharing this video and i hope the friendship between Palau and Japan continues...

  • @moontokyo

    Yes, you've hit it.

    Greetings from Kaohsiung

  • @jsrotta There are two countries in Asia which didn't fight against white countries, namely China and Korea. Rather, China worked as a servant of white colonizers. Korea begged all countries around for money and assistance. These characteristics are the same as today. Nature of the country and people never change. Moreover, these two made up fake histories which become laughingstocks of the world today.

  • @airaiboy When I started research about Japanese military activities during the ww2, I was very surprised of the extremely strong discipline among Japanese soldiers. I used to believe what Chinese and Korean advocate today because I learned the same in schools. What I've found day by day from my research is quite different and exact opposite of prior knowledge. So, I think there must have been a lot of exceptional ones around your acquaintances. I feel sorry for that.

  • @airaiboy Second Lieutenant Hiroo Onoda who fought war until more than 30 years after the war end and still alive, told that he stole foods and necessities from nearby village hostile to Japanese soldiers, and shot enemies. Meanwhile village people suspected and scapegoated Japanese soldier whenever something evil happened such as murders. Pacification work was very important factor to become familiar with foreign people of course, morale code was strictly placed and forced.

  • @airaiboy For example, some officer candidates who came to study in Japan confessed later that they committed suicide attempts because the way of teaching was too harsh. It must have been felt cruel to your people for sure. I by myself have many experiences that I was beaten with stick or fist from my teachers and my parents. Beaten as punishments until shedding blood was very common when I was a child.

  • @airaiboy For the sake of our soldiers who died in your island I make some excuses. First, Japan was desperate these days being alone to fight against white world, that is why Japan invested a lot all around Asia and priorities were given to outside Japan in order to help colonized people fight against it, even though Japan was very poor at that time. Education style was extremely harsh during war period even in Japan, physical punishments were very common until around 20 years ago.
