Well, good luck to you man. Im playing on starting the online classes for game art here soon. I would go to the campus, but it would be way to rough with me having a kid. Do you know much about the online courses?

@CultEvaded I don't really know much about the online courses, I have a couple friends in them now, now they're way early in the program. I heard it's A LOT of work though, even online.

But actually, this video was particularly helpful to me because I'm actually going to be starting on my own senior project in about 2-3 months (I'm majoring in game/simulatin programming at DeVry University).

lol I've already got extremely high hopes for our senior project, and I'm already filling our design doc with all kinds of amazing ideas... but I'll take your advice and keep an open mind about it.

But I think the best way to go about it is to aim high and make adjustments as needed. =)

I'm giving serious consideration to this school and to The Art Institutes right now.

I'm leaning more towards Full Sail though because (according to all the research I've done), it's cheaper and aside from the accreditation (which I'm guessing doesn't matter much in the gaming industry anyway), it seems like an all-around great school.

@TheCreativeItch Right on, well deserved i would say. I hope to see more of your work as you progress. Are you planning on making anymore videos about your life afterwards? Just make sure you get some A1 pieces put together for your portfolio.

I have watched almost all of your videos and the thing that they all have in common that I like is that all through these classes and shitty random things happening, you have the greatest attitude about it all and you seem very focused. I'm sure you will do well after Full Sail. Thanks for the inspiration :)

I pulled the trigger, I'll be starting classes on the 25th. I'll post some videos of my progress and work along the way.

Well basically they give you a lot of how to videos/tutorials. I would recommend that you also take the time to find some other tutorials on your own and practice as much as you can before the class starts. As for the workload it isn't outrageously overdone its just all crunched back to back.

@Drdrat Im assuming that they tell you how to make the stuff in the programs that your using. A lot of work really isnt going to bother as im used to it.
