This is a low cost monocular offering from Barska. I was hoping to add this to my hunting load-out after my initial testing with it. It is not a high value option as it fell apart during the review. I have been using this for about 6 months and I have had some issues to date before it started to fall apart in my hands. The pupil is very small and the eye relief is not good. You really need to push your eye all the way in to see the picture at all. The clarity of the optics seem to be ok in most light conditions, however, at night it is very apparent this is a low cost option. The image quality is ok with some aberrations that can be expected in a low end offering. I can not recommend this offering from Barska. I will continue to look for a high quality low cost option providing a high value system.

  • Wow that is a piece of crap!! I have a USSR made 70's monocular that I carry everywhere that is 8x50. Very good monocular, sure beats this sorry excuse for an optical device...

  • @1337Leva Surplus Russian military stuff good stuff.

  • WTF... hahaha the lense end cap just came right off. hahaha Good review besides that. Thumbs up dude .- FD

  • @FightDiary Thanks for the comment. These are low quality and low cost and it really shows.....

  • Construction or lack of....LoL!

Take a look at the Brunton Echo 10x30. It's around $25 and I hear it is very decent for the price.

  • @DangerousDude2010 That is about 2.5x times the price of the Barska I paid $10 for. I think there are better offerings out there in the $20-$30 category including the Brunton Echo 10x30. I will have to get one an try it out. Stay tuned for more...
