@NAUGHTON96 I'm too young to have seen either live but that's my opinion based on footage I've seen. I'd go as far to say as I think the 84-85 side was one of the greatest in the history of English football.

@jwgeezer 84-85 is are best ever side, without a doubt....... we won the League by about 12 points, won the European Cup Winners Cup & got to the FA Cup Final (lost to Utd in extra time 1-0 only coz we were so tired because a week earlier we had just played in the Cup Winners Cup Final) LEGENDARY SIDE! one of the best sides England has ever had

Schon traurig wen man jetzt sieht in welch einer sportlichen Situation sich Gladbach befindet.
Ich habe damals noch nicht gelebt, das muss bestimmt ne coole Zeit gewesen sein für alle Gladbacher-Anhänger, ich wünschte es würde nochmal so kommen.

My Dad brought me up on stories of how great this Everton was following the 69-70 season. They don't look that brilliant on video clips I have seen. The 84-85 side looks much better. I might have started an argument here but can only comment on what I have seen and I'm not blinded by nostalgia either.
