@ArhSergey Russians won battle of Kursk? I dont think so. Rather Germans have moved their units to Sicilia. But indeed it looked like Russiand won the battle.

@kubaczolg I agree with you completely about stupid soviet command (especially 1941-42), "great purge" etc. About outdated T34-76 in 1943 - read about Battle of Kursk in summer 1943, while Nazis were massively using Tiger along with Panthera and Ferdinand (Elefant), and Soviets couldn't oppose them anything better than T-34-76 and KV-1 it resulted in big losses but the battle was won on the whole.

@kubaczolg About destroyed tanks -right after hit tank might be either destroyed (completely without possibility of restoration i.e irretrievable loss)or damaged,About 60-80(as i remember)percent of tanks after hit having stopped it and having killed a part of crew can be repaired again.Also there is a tendency to overstate number of kills(you don't often see the result of the hit clearly).I know about tank ace Michiael Wittmann and famous Battle of Villers-Bocage in the Western Front
