Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is full of dedicated heroes. They are angels for the whales, sharks, and seals.

@stewy357 Really protect your supply? Japan is intentionally over fishing blue fin tuna to extinction and storing their supply so that when it goes extinct they can set the price on the market and sell there thousands of tons of tuna. These people are killing the planet for money. It doesnt make sense.

Why are humans so slow and against change? Yes Slavery was bad, yes women actually do have rights, yes we shouldn't be killing whales.
-
Keep up the good work guys!
-
They had 3 boats but now pnly two as one got crushed by the whalers;
They have photographers & filmers on board
When they throw their "stink bombs" they are only meters away from the ships

i would love to be a part of this crew! i love just saving animals!

No they are not using military grade weapons. If they were they could sink the ship. The Japenese CAN'T have a military or that grade of weapons!
These guys just hate people and their liars. They "think" somethings bad but really all they hate is the Japanese people. A Japanese whaler wanted to join the team but he was rejected. The captian was also rejected by the greenpeace and pretended to get shot by the Japanese and make them "think" the Japanese are bunch of bad peoples. I really don't like people killing a lot of animals but don't think the Japanese are the only people who kill.

@GOGETTERKAMIKAZ11111 Your argument is empty. We ALL "think" somethings are bad. The ""s are meaningless. Also, they rejected a Japanese whaler likely because they thought he was a spy. Duh (sorry, but come on!). You also make huge accusations with no evidence. *Your* prejudice leads you to absurd conclusions. For example, if you actually talked to these people, they absolutely would not say they think all Japanese people are bad nor that they think only Japanese people kill animals.

Bunch of idiots. If you let the Japanese take a certain amount of whales, there'd more incentive for them to worry about the numbers of whales alive. Since it would be a commodity that the Japanese use anyway, which you end up protecting your supply.
That rust bucket of a ship probably does damage to the whales and their environment by leaking god knows how much fuel into the ocean.
I'd worry more about large scale gill netting and bottom troweling, does way more damage.

I agree that large scale netting and troweling are desperately unreported and vastly destructive practices against the oceans. I disagree with the logic that allowing the Japanese to slaughter of whales will lead to more conservation efforts for the whales or for the oceans in general by the Japanese. It won't. If this subject does really, actually worry you, then you should step up efforts to stop large scale netting and bottom troweling.
