Yeah to an extent Seattle is the culprit of this (or WA), I've lived here almost 20 years now and I always am more prone to depression during the gloomy seasons, like right now.
I have things that pull me out of the funk, namely going to the theater alone and enjoying the quiet theater (in the mornings). It calms me and the story allows me to forget my problems.
