Can you provide the exact model number? Also, do you have any close up still photos of the board?
Thanks.

@MyBassplaya My friend bought the smaller version of this TV TH42PZ80U and it has the same A board. My question is - before you changed the A board, does it have any sign of the TV working? My friend's TV doesn't have any "red" power light or red blinking lights but I can hear one of the relay keeps on clicking as soon as I plug the pwer cord in. Do you remember? Also, who's your favorite bass playa? Thanks!

This is the same kinda thing I did... I found a nice 42" LG at the dump, paid £20 for it. Symptoms, completely dead, no power at all. Found four bulged capacitors in the power supply. Replaced them, and boom - it worked straight away! Caps cost a few quid. I wasn't quite laughing as evil as you were though, just shocked it was so easy. Since then I've repaired a few more and sold them.

i have a panasonic plasma i think and the right third of the screen is all wavy. I dont know what kind of video output does it and how and were i can buy one. If you guys can piont me in the write direction ide appreciate it.
I think you have solved my problem but when I go to find the "A" board on ebay nothing comes up. How or whom did you purchase the "A" board from on ebay. I would so greatly appreciate it and thank you again for posting this. Since my repair man just told me it will be 480.00 for the part i asked for some courtesy gel with that.....

@flyahul2 LOL! I searched for the part number -TNPH0721 3A AT2 - I believe the first 8 digits make up the part number and the rest are version numbers. Yours will have the number printed on it. IIRC, you just have to make sure that the version you buy is the same or later than yours. If you've been running the tv and suspect that you had a lightning strike (or other voltage surge), then this might be the board for you. OTH, the most common problem is the power supply board.

@flyahul2 Also - keep in mind that I'm no TV repair man. I just had a lot of time on my hands and did a TON of research on the net. That and a few days poking around inside this thing led me to that board. Buying it was a gamble. CAUTION: there are extremely dangerous voltages readily available in several places that can kill you if you don't have some idea of what you're doing. Pay the man if you aren't certain that you can do this. $500 will buy a pretty decent brand new set these days too.

I have a 46pz80e. What was your problem? I hope that if it fails i will be able to fix it lol

@amdnovello No picture. No blink codes from the front panel LED. I had to run every diagnostic step in the service manual and still didn't know for sure what was wrong. I had a hunch based on everything I'd read and some of the tests that it was that main input board (the A board). You can fix anything if you have the aptitude, patience, and a good internet connection. :-)
