I have been a student of personal development for some time now, actually the last 4 years.
I have learned life changing information through the books I have read the audio programs that I have listened to and the seminars that I have attended. One thing that I have realized is that no matter how much we study or learn we don't, for me anyway, get a true understanding until we experience it in our own lives.
The other day I decided to go for a little run. Now keep in mind that I haven't trained in about 5 months but for whatever reason I felt like running, I sound like Forest Gump :P lol . So on a Friday afternoon the day before my birthday I found myself at the park getting ready to run.
Some habits are good and some are bad. When I train I have good habits. When it's the "Off Season" Well lets just say they aren't so good lol My nutrition was horrible I was eating maybe one meal a day and it probably wasn't that healthy. My hydration was about 8 ounces per day. Lest not even go into my sleep pattern I was lucky to be getting 5 or so hours maybe about 4am -- 9am on average. Whats even worse is the whole reason for me taking some time off was because of my injury.
I ran a marathon back in Nov and apparently I didn't rest long enough after the run and I created a labrum tare. The labrum is the thin lining that goes around your hip joint and apparently I tore it lol The doctors never really decided what it was exactly. After x-rays, a bone spec scan, CT scans and 2 different kind of MRI's they said it could be a labrum tare lol After spending about $2500 out of pocket expense, with insurance mind you lol, over those 2 months I decided to just take a break lol
So back to the day at the park. It was a cloudy day with a nice somewhat cool breeze of about 85 degrees lol haha that's Oklahoma weather for ya, I was at the park stretching and then I was off to run. Looking back I didn't feel anything different just the normal high I sometimes get from running. But as I finished the first lap I thought to myself "Wow I feel pretty good and im making decent time lets kick it up a notch" As I finished the last lap my heart racing, the blood pumping through my veins, and just beginning to work up a good sweat I looked down at my watch and saw that I had just ran a 6:13 mile.
At that moment I truly understood that the only limitations we have in life are the limitations that we place on our selves. I mean lets think about it. I didn't have a good diet, wasn't hydrated, a lack of sleep, hadn't trained in about 5 months, and was just coming back from an injury yet managed to somehow run that kind of time. Why could that happen? How could that happen?
When I started to run that day I never once thought about those issues. That's how! I didn't let the limiting factors in life slow me down. I believed that I could go out and run and not let anything stop me and that's what I did. I ran without limits. I was free.
I noticed that so many times in my life I had placed limits on myself I was holding myself back from achieving the things I wanted out of life. You might be doing the same thing right now. You may not even know that youre doing it.
Maybe youre building a home based business, MLM, network marketing, work from home business and you haven't figured out why you aren't getting the results you want. Never settle for anything less that what you truly desire and most importantly deserve.

Great video Ryan :) You make me wanna go out, get off my butt and run. You are so right about limitations. We place them on ourselves and it is up to us to remove them. Thanks for sharing your experience.

My boyfriend has a leg problem similer to yours. He runs a lot and then suddenly he had a leg problem. He goes to the gym and does some strength training for his leg every day for 5 min after running. Says it helps. You prolly swisted a muscle in a way and it just needs to adjust itself again. You could also try a tea I think is fucking awesome for all sorts of pain/illnesses called "the tea of life" you can get it at a organic grocery store anywhere. Cures about anything. Ados.
