Thats my dad. You can find links to his stuff through cherry red records. Think there's a download there too.

This track sorts the men from the boys. With limited technology, (correct me if I'm wrong!) possibly an old basic drum machine (Roland TR606?)and Roland TB303 bassline macine? (or something similar) quite simply, the most beautiful and moving song I have ever had the pleasure to hear. Go Joe. You're 1 in a trillion.

@DIEGOKEN242 This isn't a cover, it's the original...

why this sonic youth picture?

Someone please tell me something about Joe Crow.

I remember this song from the Pillows & Prayers comp & the days when 99p for an album was still a bit of a gamble (50p p/w pocket money didn't stretch far!). Joe's original version makes Martin Gore's cover sound soulless & insipid...
If this gets played at my funeral I'll be very, very pleased.

It is about TIME...That is the message I get from this.

ok, i'm an idiot... i didn't know this was written by someone other than Gore... stupidity on my part... i often wondered why i liked his cover, but wasn't drawn in by other songs... now i know; again, i'm an idiot! That being said and accepted, i give proper respects to the original! this song has been part of my life's soundtrack-- thank you!!

Joe Crow is my uncle, but I know him by his real name. He's has also got an album released in 2009 called 'Coincidence'. He really is awesome!!

Got to say your taste is impeccable ... Has probably been my favourite track off 'pillows and prayers' for the past 25 plus years .... However, always thought he was singing 'Jobs in limited supply' --- always thought of this haunting track was a meditation on Thatchers Britain ..? Perhaps it's just my agit pop brain working overtime?

Thanks for the compliment.
No, its not about Jobs.
Or yes, about the job we have to work on until we go.
We got to move on sometime.
By putting one foot in front of another.
