This is a request. I always thought this song was called "Oh Sherry" but learned that Perry wrote it for his girlfriend Sherrie Swafford. *If you are someone who objects to the use of this song for copyright reasons please tell me and I will remove it.

  • Nice song, tranquilatus.

Funny but somehow you put the arrow always right in the middle of the heart. I´m not really sure what the exact message of this song is but I think the gist is that good stuff can happen if we really want it and let them happen.

    Thanks for the nice upload.

  • Thanks again for you kind words my friend! Means a lot to me.

  • The song and a picture of flowers.....interesting, there's a message?..:)

  • OH MY GOD! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I FINALLY FOUND IT! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! TTwTT

  • @mohansen11 i agree inspiration can strike anywhere like when paul simon wrote homeward bound on a train station at widnes in north of england looking forward to going home ! some songs are written in minutes. others can take hours evidently! also factor in record company pressure and following up big success like thriller or the stranger!

  • @rachie14 Actually, it was on his first solo album released while he was still a member of Journey.

  • @MrTonedeff I think most songwriters would actually be thrilled to have the music for a song completed in 5 hours. That would mean coming up with the music for 8 songs in a 40-hour week. Inspiration is not usually so kind. And, as we all know, some people will only have one hit in their entire lifetime. So, to have written a hit song in 5 hours, is actually quite a feat.

  • Was this recorded in his pre-Journey days?

  • @mohansen11 hey man thanks for the info i was doing it from memory and i was highlighting steve ,randy and the excellent players on the song! the ones i remembered !but its good to give credit when it,s due! did,nt know that it took five hours to write whoa! that,s a long time! what a song though huh? brilliant!

  • @MrTonedeff You are 1/2 right. It was written by Steve Perry and Randy Goodrum AND Craig Krampf and Bill Cuomo. Per Steve Perry and Bill Cuomo, the bulk of the song was written by Steve, Craig and Bill in a 5-hour jam session, and Randy Goodrum was brought in after the music was written to fine tune the lyrics.

  • excellent upload
