dear god why was he gelded??!!!!

This may not look natural to some, but he wouldn't be able to do it if it weren't. He's obviously not sored or using any artificial means of achieving that kind of motion. Probably resistance training and exercise, like any human would do in a gym. Excellent horse!!! However, I'm in agreement about the concrete thing... and it looks slick too... very scary. I've seen one of these guys splat on just normal dry concrete. It's enough to make your heart stop.

@MatildeBrandt Eh, somewhere on earth. trying to think. lol.
Hey i know what you mean, everyone is different on what they think on this stuff. :}
I had books though, that have that style of step. Lost is in 2001.. Couldn't find it..
But anyway i know what you mean by the not normal look. Just amazing.

@DARKWITCHCHERYLE I have been in Leeuwarden, seen Jasper, Anders and Tietse in action and Leffert in white lines with my own eyes! Get that into your head. If Leffert 306 PREFERENT not is a "stud stallion" in your world, what planet do you live on?
I think this horses movements looks completely unnatural and that is my personal meaning. ;)

Let me also say well obedient.
They were trained since Almost birth, not at 2 years or one year.
Usually for the best of the best well trained horses it started within weeks.

@MatildeBrandt Hehem, Apparently you have never seen a real trained stud/stallion/geld/mare! This is one of the most well trained!
The best of the best from long back in history, even lippizaners can do this while jumping...
It's amazing and i think you should go to one of their shows, you will be HOOKED!
And i mean Hooked by lightly. :}!!
I have seen some horses do things you never thought would be possible, i have even seen some at Random Fair grounds Up close. .. It's just amazing.

Now THAT's my type of Friesian!! I like the taller, leaner ones and, oh my, is he GORGEOUS!!!
Seriously, those movements can't be natural ?! Looks just weird to me .. But he's really gorgeous.

@dandydiamonddee Friesians have naturaly a very high stepping power, although i do have to say he seems more like he's flying than anything else. However, some friesians have this kind of movement very naturaly with no trainin what so ever. The video is also in slow motion so it's even more dramatic. Plus he lookes very suspicious and excited (and to be honest the rider seemed like she was very insteady in her saddle. I believe the circumstances of the video and the slow mo make it worse.
