YES. That's the whole point of it. It's ace in BS3X's sleeve that it supports SYSEX messages. SYSEX is often needed to edit synths that don't support CC messages. There's plenty of those plain CC controllers.
I don't have MBase and i don't know if it supports CC or not. If not it can not be edited with those entry level controllers.
Then you need one of the better devices like this. Peavey PC1600 was another one. And Novation ZERO's..
