Welcome back to Utoxin Plays Minecraft! As always, thanks for watching. Please like, comment, and subscribe! I enjoy all your feedback.

In today's episode, I gather some food, getting lost in the process. Then I go mining for some iron, which takes far longer than expected. Finally getting some good resources together, I should soon be ready to start more serious exploration and caving.

I actually did some research on the cats. Creepers will run away from tamed cats even if the creeper already saw you. Cats' first priority is to sit on top of a chest, bed, or furnace. You can however lure them away from sitting on something with a raw fish in your hand. To prevent them from sitting on stuff you need to keep them at least 5 blocks away from what you don't want them sitting on.

All in all, with the Creeper ward, they're pretty nice.

Interesting. Still... creepers don't freak me out that much anymore, especially once I have some armor. I'd rather have a Wolfie than a cat.

Cats sit on 3 things: Beds, Chests, and Hot Furnaces. :)

Ocelots also have another fun thing they add to the game... If you let your ocelot inside and tell it to sit, it will start moving after a few minutes and invariably sit on top of your chest and not pay attention to you if you tell it to move.

I actually just had a thought, my furnace was right on top and behind my chest in the wall and the cat might have been moving to be near it when it was cooking something. I'm going to have to test if a cat is attracted to the heat of a cooking furnace.

Yeah, it's a quick simple mine, intended just to expand the amount of stone I'm exposing. There's certainly more efficient methods, but they usually require more space to really get to full efficiency.

And I intend to get some armor made soon. If I can find enough cows, I'll go with leather at least at first. But I'd really like to get a full set of iron.
