This is a Hawaiian Airlines jet that had a bad landing at Papeete Tahiti.Only one minor injury and the runway had to be extended to retrieve the aircraft.
I was on the previous flight in a very bad storm that nearly did the same thing.

  • How do you know your flight nearly did the same thing? Were you in the cockpit? I assume you were not outside to view how close your flight was to doing this since you called it "your flight".

  • @JJ600RR

Yes I was in the cockpit with Tom Cruise. He was the pilot. I was just the hostess.Well just dressed as one anyway cause I like to dress up in womens clothing.

We knew how close it was cause we had a trained monkey who owned a tape measure and he confirmed it was close! Yes sorry I lied. The monkey owned the flight. You caught me out!

Bet thats not the response you hoped for LOL !!

  • Damn, you got close! I'd've thought they'd've put buoys up or something. Good views, though.

  • @SenorSpode

The Gendarmes were telling me to move away but I pretended not to understand French!

  • When did this happened?

  • @TieInterceptorPilot

December 24th 2000 and it made a lot of noise as I think the engines must have been on full power reverse thrust when it sucked in a pilon and wire.

  • @bullatthegate if by dumb and nonsensical, then no, i did not expect that kind of response.

  • "In the event of a water landing..."

  • what? is a perfect landing

  • The livery looks a fair bit like American Airlines...

  • we have to go back!

Landing halfway down the runway, in a storm. Wet runway and crosswind Map of the runway in possession of the pilot indicated a length of 200 meters higher than reality (card not updated)

    Plane removed the next day

  • ooops!
