  • I taught English in China & their schedule was horrendous. Typically, they arrived at school at 6:30am & began their day with exercise, ending with the march shown here. They had classes for 11 hours per day & also attended school on Saturdays. Of course, some might have to travel several miles & homework filled their remaining free time. I taught a class on the subject of hobbies once. Most announced theirs was 'sleeping'! To hear them speak of the pressure they were under was heartbreaking.

  • Excellent explaination of China's education system.

Something we should adopt in North America instead of our dumbing down system !

  • @shutupshamwowguyXD yes, I heard that 'asian' system teaches you things but not to think and is hard for them here in the US. Many inventions are not coming from those countries.

  • you might think this is a good system and it makes students smart, but its the exact opposite. Once they graduate from whatever university they went to, most cannot think for themselves and they have no creativity, no social skills and no actual useful skills. They teach things that are too hard and are usually useless unless you're a "rocket scientist", and the pressure alone will dumb down the students. I know whats going 'cause I'm from china and went to school there for 4 years.

  • hi its good and amazing and also provide good information.

    so thanks

  • I really like the ending part the exersie student did, especially the music

  • I've went to many schools and the public school i go to now is by far the worst Atleast in these schools in china they atleast pressure the kids to do good. Instead of school in canada wear they force yo to go to school 7 hours a day 5 days a week and completely waste your time. I've ran through things and I can do the hole days work in just 40 minutes. And to top things off the teachers are idiots that why the next generation will fail stupid fat ass teachers = stupid fat ass kids

  • @poolopis01 Thanks for the opinion, I dont have so much experience. ;)

Maybe you're right and people are just exagerrating. Or its just an unavoidable side effect of worldwide stultification... =S

  • @Strenshi Meh,I went to a government funded (public) school in the United States. It was more than enough preparation for me to attend and excel in one of the world's top 100 Universities. The educational deficit is a myth insofar as the opportunities are provided.

Plus, we have hundreds of decent universities, and at least two dozen amazing universities.

  • @WillonFire87 But by more or less forcing the students to "devote their time to building their lives through education and hard work" many of them will try to revolt.

Even though I doubt the efficiency of the american education system (except some of the universities) I think the chinese are overdoing it.

The german system i live in isnt perfect either but (based on the teachers you get... ) its possible to achieve a good education based on your personal ambition.

  • well all this talk about tension, stress and the need for relaxation, wellness, getting massages blablabla where is the backbone of some countries? hard work delivers hard results. If you want to spend time thinking about how to relax and basically do nothing how do you expect to compete with a country that devotes their time to building their lives through education and hard work?
