Dancing on The Edge of the World was a kickass album then, and it is still a kickass album today. I remember when my parents got me this CD for my 11th birthday, I played this song and Natural Habitat literally to death. I still have this CD, and it still plays.
I am now 28, I have always been a smooth jazz junkie, and smooth jazz will never die. (^^)♥
When Detroit had a radio station called WJZZ-Jazz 106, this song was playing. I heard it for the first time in 1995. This song had went over to another station for a few years in the 2000s - WGPR 107.5. But it did not stay for a while. I was a bit upset for that.
This song has been a surreal feel in me for 15 years. I am so looking for an MP3 of this song so I can put it in my iPod, or even for iTunes to offer it for 99 cents, for I would GLADLY pay that for this song!
Thanks for posting this song!!! Kit Walker is one of my top 10 favorite jazz artists out there! I still can't believe that this album is over 20 years old!!! I bought this on CD when it came out in the late 80's, I think 87 or 88 and happen to lose it. It wasn't until the 2000's that I got it in my hands again and will never let this CD out of my house again!!! Kit was way ahead of his time and the quality of this song, it sounds like it was made in the late 2000's! Timeless indeed.
Kit Walker is the real deal.He just released another amazing recording,"Out of Time" with Mariana Ingold. Buy it and be touched.

Perhaps one of the smoothest jazz tunes out... Extremely laid back... Could be a soundtrack...
